8 am - 4 pm Description:
Provides advocacy to Guests.
Insuring the individual's needs are identified and the appropriate physical, mental and spiritual resources are located.
Supports a strength-based approach to guests' needs.
Role and Responsibilities Conducts needs assessment screening for new guest to obtain information for formulating an appropriate treatment plan with reasonable, achievable goals.
Explains rules, regulations and procedures; assists guest in completing required forms and gathering necessary documentation.
Identifies psychosocial, economic and physical needs of guests; refers guest to appropriate services and assists guest in obtaining such services; assesses and reassesses guest's needs and eligibility for services in order to plan, develop and implement an appropriate treatment plan.
Provides ongoing advocacy.
Maintains each guest's file; prepares complete and accurate case notes; documents each visit and all occurrences.
Completes a daily log of case management encounters for statistical reports.
Prepares written correspondence and reports; may prepare statistical reports and summaries; inputs data into Charity Tracker HMIS homeless management system.
Assists guests with external needs as appropriate, occasionally transports them to appointments or to the departments that will assist them with community resources.
Offers hope and encouragement for guests in crisis.
Consults with appropriate local agencies to determine guests' Medicaid/Disability status and eligibility.
Communicates in Charity Tracker concerning any newly prescribed medications.
Rounds of the building including dormitory & locker searches.
Drug screening as necessary.
Attends weekly staff meetings.
Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Mission's service to its guests by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of a guest care teamThese duties are not exclusive and with consideration of the job requirements and the employee's skills, this job description can be added to or taken away from at the discretion of the employee's immediate supervisor or Executive Director.
Qualifications and Education Requirements Peer Support Certification or other education in recovery, social work, or other appropriate field required Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of service may be used in lieu of education.
Experience with community-based services for mental health, homeless, and SUD population is preferred.
Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills in order to work with guests, hospital staff and various community agencies.
Must have compassion and understanding for all people from all walks of life.
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices of social work and case management techniques Public and private social services providers within the community, community resources available to guests De-escalation and crisis intervention techniques Ability to:
Assess cases appropriately and utilize the most appropriate community resources.
Prepare correspondence and other written materials.
Use initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
Organize and prioritize workload to complete necessary tasks.
Work independently and collaboratively, utilizing and obtaining necessary resources for guest.
Balance time among guest, Mission staff and relationships with outside agencies Communicate effectively and keep proper boundaries with guest.
Proficiency with MS Office products, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook Additional Notes:
Need to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Comfortable sharing the gospel & the love of Jesus with guest.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
