Function Overview:

The purpose of this role is to establish, manage and maintain and review a production schedule for finished goods and fabricated parts that balances incoming customer orders with production floor activities. This leader is the link between the plant and the product fulfillment team (PFT).

The master scheduler will work closely with the production and materials teams. In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must provide effective communication with sales, production, and materials teams. The key measure of the master scheduler is Deliver to commitment (DTC), which is fulfilling our customer orders as promised. This role will be involved in the short to long-term plans of resources needed to accomplish our production schedule.

The master scheduler is also accountable to help drive continuous improvement through the executing of lean events and activities. They must also champion lean through daily coaching in lean tools and methodologies and the ongoing development of standardized work.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing the scheduling team and the production schedule for finished goods and fabricated parts while maintaining a DTC score above 90%.
  • Managing the relationship between the level plan, line capacity, and part constraints with the production and materials teams, PFT, and supplier assurance.
  • Continuous improvement projects related to improving material management and material flow

Basic
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Engineering
  • 1
    years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or supply chain operations environment

Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain Management, Knowledge on Industry Standards and systems knowledge for material planning and replenishment
  • Proficient in Google Suite an asset
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Access, Project, ERP systems
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Ability to employ lean concepts to drive continuous improvement in their area.
  • ability to proactively coach and mentor a team to drive outstanding results.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
  • Success in a teaming environment.
